I am an interior design and decoration student currently in my third year at Southampton Solent university.

My love for interior design flourished from my parents’ professions being a graphic designer and a carpenter. Being born and spending half of my life in South Africa, I have a passion for travelling and exploring many different cultures.

After completing A-Levels with Art, Photography and English literature, I then went on to spend some months in China as an intern working at Wellington College Shanghai in 2018.

I have some design work experience under my belt, working for Art Space interior Design in 2015 for a two-week work experience. Following this I was called back that summer for a job as an assistant for the holidays. I also joined Dust Architecture for a two-week work experience after being accepted into the Talent Tap work experience program. Both experiences taught me invaluable skills of the design industry that helped ease me into university course.

Since being at university I have leant an array of new skills as well as practicing old skills I already obtained such as photography and programs such as Photoshop, Sketchup and Vector Works. I have also had many opportunities to use a 2D laser cutter and a 3D printer. I am always practicing and improving my CAD and Adobe software skills as I have had a passion for these programs' in recent years .
